This is the personal project of a family of architects who, fascinated by the place, wanted to collect the best tradition of sensory architecture arising from the landscape and the land. Spatial continuity, enjoyment, matter, light and shadow are the inspiration for the project.
It functions as an extraordinary refuge from the city – a reflective instant by the river, a shelter where to find the primal sensations, where to reconcile with our nature.

Villa Icaria offers the opportunity to discover the ancient beauty of the Alcarria and the Sea of Castilla. It is a land of strong contrasts, dominated by reservoirs where you can enjoy nautical activities, climbing and via ferrata activities. Close to the Ercávica archaeological site, the monastery of Monsalud, the castle of Anguix and the town of Pastrana, it offers a great cultural attraction.
a house to enjoy
The house is surrounded by pine trees, on a nine thousand square meter plot of land, with holm oaks framing and sculpting the plot. The living room with fireplace opens to the landscape through a large window; other spaces allow for all kinds of activities – yoga, sports, pottery, cinema or just letting the wind blow you in a hammock, contemplating the landscape.

The property has five spacious rooms conceived as individual refuges, in this fortress between the oaks and the landscape. The interiors combine materials and shades of the Alcarria with an open and luminous architecture that incorporates objects of new design, creating spaces with the perfect combination of rural simplicity and contemporary sensibility.
